For my first CAS card, I used All Dressed Up's "Little Bird". Very simple, I printed the image and a typed sentiment, coloured the little bird with Prismacolours pencil.

A Place to Start - 1st April, 2024

 This month the theme at A Place to Start is to add one or more flowers. The sponsor is  Sheepski  Designs, and I have used an image called "Cornflowers"

My craftroom is mostly packed away at the moment whilst we sell and move house.  I have been doing some pencil colouring classes at Kit and Clowder and thought this was a great time to practice with my pencils.

Pearly Sparkles - 1st April, 2024

 This month's theme is For a Man or Boy, I've used a Di's Digi image called, Dream Boat Mice, it come with a plain boat and a patterned boat, here I have used the plain boat.

Coloured with Copic pens and fussy cut, layered onto torn blue cardstock. Typed sentiment and some small wooden elements.

Wedding Gift Tag

 This month's image from The Outlawz, is from Kathy Asper, and we received two images, Little Viking Lady and Little Viking Man.

I thought I would put them close together and create a wedding gift tag with a bit of humour.  Love the sentiment, which I found on the net.

Coloured with copic pens and glitter on speckled paper, which I have added gold ink to the edges.

The little verse reads:

 

When the roaring fires of your love

have burned down to embers

may you find you have married

your best friend

Birthday Bear, coloured with copic pens, I have added some white gel pen to create white nonpareils on the icing.  (I don't know what else they are called, like a white hundreds and thousands put a little bit bigger.)

A Place to Start - 4th March, 2024

This month at A Place to Start the them is Must be Square, you need to have a square project.

A great place to start is with an image, no, I did not draw this little Elephant, but I did colour it with Prismacolur pencils, it was a colouring class at Kit and Clowder .

Once coloured I uploaded to my computer, made up the little verse, added some ditigal hearts and to complete the card, al little crystal heart was added.

The new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe is all about travel. Two great sponsors:

 I made a card with an image from Sheepski designs called "Walkies" coloured with copic pens, glitter and liquid pearls, then fussy cut and layered onto some patterned paper.

I then added some diecut leaves, ribbon, dragonfly and sentiment.  Finally some purple glitter dotted across the background paper completed my card.  I have always loved the purple/green combination.

 I also got to create an art journal page with an image from My Besties, called "Ellie and Nib Airshow.  I think we probably underestimate how far a postman travels.

Paper Artsy paints for the background, The image has been coloured with copic pens and fussy cut, layered with a spring.  The little houses have been made with scraps of patterned paper, the envelopes hand cut after printing.  The sentiment has been typed and arranged, the birds hand drawn.
